This term the pupils at Oakfield house school have visited Beacon Fell for their Outdoor Education.
The purpose of the trip is to give the pupils new experiences in the community; learning new things about nature and appreciating the outdoors. The pupils respected others throughout the trip by behaving sensibly and being aware of the socially distancing measures that have been in place throughout 2020 due to COVID19.
The adventure led to seeing wonderful sights of Lancashire from the top of the hill, a beautiful 6 KM walk around the forest and working together to build a class master piece den. There was even time for the pupils to climb some trees, jump in some puddles and enjoy a play on the Park!
All the pupil’s and staff have enjoyed being out in nature and getting to explore the local area that we live in.
